Your tasks:
- Leading the series crew for general tasks and your own vehicle crew for setting up your race car
- Ensuring the correct set-up of the race cars
- Respecting HRT's internal technical instructions and technical bulletins from manufacturers and suppliers
- Leading the pit stop training and being responsible for the development of the pit stop sequence and equipment
- Communicate daily schedules with the mechanics team and create a weekly schedule with sound management of manpower and resources
- Understand the rulebook for areas involving technical specifications and relevant operations e.g. pit stop, refuelling etc.
- Ensure that intellectual property and performance related solutions remain within a close circle.
- Support testing and racing activities as required worldwide
- Maintain a professional and clean appearance of race cars and equipment at all times
- Ensure the work area is clean, organised and in line with the company structure
- Managing the individual (spare) parts in consultation with the warehouse
- Supporting logistics in the creation of orders for upcoming revisions or necessary repairs
- Supporting the safety officer and ensuring strict compliance with health and safety regulations
- Act as a mentor and role model to less experienced team members to ensure quality control and attention to detail whilst promoting a positive learning environment and an exceptional can-do attitude
- Assist the workshop leader with post and pre-event work lists
- Professionally represent the team and its sponsors on and off the track. Instil a positive attitude and respect within the team
- Documentation of technical problems
- Support with the compilation of technical notes
